MUD Make-Up Designory Partner School
Each year, MUD schools train hundreds of students from around the globe in a variety of make-up specialties.
From day one, students are immersed in the fundamentals of make-up artistry with aspirations of working in the fashion, entertainment or retail cosmetic industries. MUD gives future artists the opportunity to discover their own unique style under the training of licensed instructors with professional expertise in film, television and fashion. Their vision begins to come alive as they infuse their talent with skill whether it be within the intricacies of prosthetics or the delicacy of beauty make-up.
A Vision More Defined Is a Dream Coming Alive
A school by make-up artists, for make-up artists. This was the dream that started it all. Founded by accomplished professional make-up artisans in 1997, Make-up Designory (MUD) began and expanded into a rigorous academic environment that fosters creativity and experimentation.
With the humble beginnings of a two classroom, 800 square-foot location in North Hollywood, California, MUD started out with course offerings in beauty make-up, character make-up and special make-up effects. The intimate courses have now grown into four comprehensive make-up programs, individual courses and part-time courses within two main campuses in Los Angeles and New York MUD has also expanded globally offering studio courses in countries around the world, as well as via our Partner Schools across the U.S.
